Abstract

This article addresses the limits of the State's power to punish and the influence of self-regulation, according to the political and social changes in the sphere of Criminal Law. Among the topics discussed, we have the emergence of compliance in terms of society and legislative aspects, the development of theories - classic and modern - that aim to consolidate relevant aspects within the concept of criminal imputation, its agents and actions when they involve dominance and control. Finally, the theme alludes to the possibility of accountability for agents when they are managers of business companies.
