WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT POSITIONS AND PAY EQUITY: LIMITS AND CHALLENGES BASED ON THE GENDER PARADIGM
Keywords:
Governance, Diversity, Gender EqualityAbstract
The paper analyzes the need for and impact of including women in management positions, as well as pay equity, in order to consider the maintenance of the status quo as an aspect of gender violence. The research hypothesizes that the presence of women on boards and in leadership positions is a determining factor in the development of a diversity and inclusion policy. Based on a bibliographical review and documentary field research, the study also addresses the problem of inequality in positions and salaries from a gender perspective, using speech analysis to demonstrate how the scenario impacts on the lower inclusion of women in the job market.
